Courtesy photo BY DEREK RODRIGUEZ Los Alamos County 4-H 4-H is a national youth organization with over 6 million participants nationwide. New Mexico 4-H began in 1912 and now over 30,000 youth members participate in the state. In 4-H we “learn by doing” which means we help our community by taking part in community service events and we work on projects to show our skills. In Los Alamos we have 32 4-Hers in our club. We meet Thursdays as a club. One Thursday a month is our business meeting and the other Thursdays we work on our projects. This year as a club we will learn leatherworking. ....
