Parra and Company Packing Fanta 4, Fashion, and Fontenay for 2021 Festival of Champions

Spending the summer preparing what is often a new string of horses for the 2021 US Dressage Festival of Champions is nothing new for Dr. Cesar Parra and his team of riders. Since becoming an American citizen in 2010, twenty-three of his horses have attended the U.S. National Dressage Championships and U.S. National Young Horse Championships.

Stallion at Stud: UNO Don Diego

WFFS Status: Negative N/N Uno Don Diego is the whole package of exceptional athletic ability, wonderful temperament and incredible genetics. As a competitive dressage horse, he won through Intermediate I. As a sire, his offspring are modern sport horses with winning records in both North America and Europe. Impressive Offspring Uno’s son Independent Little Me was named the 2020 KWPN Gelders Horse of the Year. He also won the Silver Medal, ZZ-Zwaar Level, at the Dutch National Championships, with scores to nearly 78%. In 2019, the handsome chestnut stallion was top 8 at the World Championships for Young Horses, 6-year-old division. Also in 2020, Daughter UNO Day Sun was set to represent Denmark at the World Championships for Young Horses, 7-Year-Old division.

Iron Spring Farm’s stallion Uno Don Diego continues to be a sire of note, with numerous offspring making headlines over the last few months. His son Independent Little Me was honored as the 2020 KWPN Gelders Horse of the Year. Daughter UNO Day Sun was named to the Danish team for the World Championships for Young Horses. Killian TF returned to the US Young Horse Championships and also took home a GAIG/USDF Regional Championship. Koa earned five year-end titles, including Dutch Warmblood Horse of the Year, from the Rocky Mountain Dressage Society. Karin Persson Leaves U S A Accepting Rider s Position at Mads Hendeliowitz Yard

Sat, 12/12/2020 - 12:23 Sweden Swedish dressage rider Karin Persson is returning home after eight years in the U.S.A. She has accepted the job of assistant rider and trainer at Mads Hendeliowitz yard.  Persson will start on her new job on 1 January 2021. I am very happy with my time in the US, said Persson in a press release. I have gained an invaluable network of contacts but above all the confidence to start my own business. At Segersta Equestrian, I get the opportunity to ride and train daily at an inspiring and professional facility where Mads and I can give each other new perspective and where I can develop myself further. It feels just right!
