Cumbrian groups to celebrate International Women’s Day

International women’s groups from north and south Cumbria are joining forces to put together an online programme of activities for International Women’s Day.
All local women are encouraged to join the celebrations by signing up to one or more zoom events on March 8.
Events include:
Thai cookery demonstration;
Open mic style ‘Ladies night in’ featuring local poets and artists;
The first screening of a new short film to celebrate the contribution of women from around the world living in the county.
The partners hosting the event include Multicultural Cumbria, Furness Multicultural Community Forum and Carlisle One World Centre. ....
