Christmas has come early at a Queensland Zoo with staff gifting the animals with festive presents and bon bons.
Delicious treats were wrapped up and given to the chimpanzees, meerkats and macaws at Rockhampton Zoo on Wednesday.  
Parks Councillor Cherie Rutherford said the gifts were part of the animal enrichment activities.
