BATH Bath authorities on Friday reported the arrest of Mark Charles Burke, AKA Charlie Burke, 59, a homeless Bath resident, who police accuse of leaving suspicious and threatening items around the village.
Burke was charged with leaving a false bomb, a class D felony, in connection with the Dec. 4 discovery of a device resembling a bomb that had been left at the Steuben County Mental Health building on Liberty Street.
The New York State Police Bomb Disposal unit was called to the scene after officials ordered an evacuation of the building. ....

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Bath man’s arrested in connection with a bomb scare at the Steuben County Mental Health Building.
Police arrested 59 year-old Mark Charles Burke for allegedly leaving a device resembling a bomb at the mental health building on Liberty Street according to
WENY. Bath police say there was more than just one incident where Burke left suspicious threatening letters and objects at varied locations in the village.
He faces a felony charge of leaving a false bomb.
