While there was talk about Tuesday s vote which overwhelmingly endorsed the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA), marking a reset in relations following months of acrimony, diplomats in Brussels were not entirely doe-eyed.
They remain concerned about the implementation of the Northern Ireland Protocol and other irritants , such as the diplomatic status of the EU ambassador in London, and French complaints that their fishermen are being denied licences to fish in UK waters. ....

We are pleased to say that the Centre for Cross Border Studies has now published the video from our Human Rights Festival event to mark the launch of the Scholars at Risk Annual Report 2020 Free to Think.
We welcomed Serdar M. Değirmencioğlu, a public scholar of twenty years’ experience who addresses issues of peace, human rights, children s rights and social justice.
The event was organised by Ulster’s Transitional Justice Institute and QUB Human Rights Centre.
With other universities on the island of Ireland, QUB and Ulster are part of Scholars at Risk Ireland, which receives funding support from Universities Ireland. ....
