FULTON, Mo. The City Council delayed a vote on an alcohol policy for the Legends Rec Plex during its meeting Tuesday.
Parks and Recreation Director Clay Caswell outlined the drafted policy, which would allow for those renting the facility s banquet room to bring in alcohol for consumption or to bring in a caterer with a consumption license to serve or sell alcohol.
The consumption of alcohol would be allowed only in the banquet room or on the patio, according to the policy. Caswell said the city would be required to have a consumption license from the state but would not purchase licenses to sell alcohol at the Rec Plex.

Callaway County continues to seek a mass vaccination clinic

The Callaway County Health Department continues to seek to host a mass vaccination clinic with the Missouri National Guard, as it struggles with vaccine supply.
As of Saturday, Callaway County has administered 10,879 doses of the coronavirus vaccine, of that 4,005 residents have received both doses of the vaccine. Over 15% of Callaway County s residents have received the vaccine, according to the state s COVID-19 vaccine dashboard.
Mayor Lowe Cannell of Fulton says the health department has been struggling to get residents vaccinated as it s been dealing with a limited supply. Cannell said many of their residents have had to travel to other counties for mass vaccination clinics in order to receive a shot.
