House of Representatives, Tuesday, urged the federal Ministries of Youth and Sports Development and, Labour and Employment to build effective synergy to generate a databank for youths to enhance their chances of obtaining empowerment and employment.
The called followed a motion titled “Need to Design Youth Data Bank in Nigeria”, moved by Hon. Uju Kingsley Chima from Imo State at the plenary.
Moving the motion, Chima noted that the population distribution chart of Nigeria indicated that the youth made up of graduates, undergraduates, artisans, and other unemployed or unengaged were not accurately captured in a comprehensive databank. ....

The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development to collaborate with the Ministry of Labour and Employment to generate a data bank for youths in the country.
This followed the unanimous adoption of a motion by Rep. Uju Chima (APC-Imo) at the plenary on Tuesday in Abuja.
Moving the motion earlier, Chima who represents Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo, said the aim was to enhance the chances of youths to get empowerment and employment.
According to him, the population distribution chart of Nigeria indicates that youths, made up of graduates, undergraduates, artisans and other unemployed or unengaged, are not accurately captured in a data bank. ....

The House of Representatives, on Tuesday, called on Federal Government to design a youth databank in Nigeria as part of ongoing efforts aimed at reducing the spate of unemployment in the country.
The resolution was passed sequel to the adoption of a motion sponsored by Hon Uju Kingsley Chima, who expressed concern on the country’s population distribution chart which indicates that Youth made up of graduates, undergraduates, artisans, and other unemployed or unengaged are not accurately captured in a databank. ....

Stop linking Gov Buni to 2023 presidency - Aide warns social media influencers

Social media actors in Yobe State and elsewhere around the country have been warned to desist from linking Governor Mai Mala Buni with the 2023 presidency.
Isa Sanusi, Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media to the Governor gave the warning in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
“This is to inform all social media actors who make posts linking or associating our leader H.E. Hon. Mai Mala Buni with 2023 to please IMMEDIATELY remove such post and desist from such reckless posts.
“Making such a post is both unlawful and careless.
“Posts like ‘Daga Daura sai Buni’ are also uncalled for and should be removed”, the statement frowned. ....
