Coosa Valley RC&D to host seed and fertilizer giveaway
Program is outreach to underserved communities
The Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council is hosting a seed and fertilizer giveaway for vegetable gardens. Resources will be distributed for 60 people from 10 a.m. to noon July 7 at the Etowah County Extension Office building.
Heidi Richards, executive director of the Coosa Valley RC&D, said the event would traditionally be held indoors with different organizations providing workshops for people to attend and learn more about the different resources provided by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and its partners. However, because of COVID-19, organizers are doing things differently.
