Long beloved because he’ll race anything anywhere against anyone at any time, the youngish 66-year-old Schrader is helping Tony Stewart and Ray Evernham with this year’s Superstar Racing Experience.
Schrader reached Cup in 1984 with five races in an Elmo Langley-owned Ford.
In July 1988, Schrader won at Talladega after starting seventh and perfectly executing a last-lap, high-side pass.

Last weekend was a big weekend for NASCAR as they held their first dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Unfortunately, it turned into a literal quagmire due to precipitation.
This ended up being the sixth spring race at Bristol for the NASCAR Cup Series in the last eight years to be delayed in some way, shape or form. Just brutal. Bristol just can’t buy a break. That’s why the attendance has fallen off a cliff for the race. I have no idea why they decided to move the race back up three weeks into March. Last year is an outlier because of COVID-19, but the race was two weeks later in 2019. For 2022, NASCAR needs to move this race weekend back into April. It’s like they forget sometimes that Bristol Motor Speedway is in the mountains. It’s not like Nashville or Charlotte. It can get cold there this time of year, and that’s far more critical with a dirt track than it is a paved track. It’s the same reason why they couldn’t ....

It wasn t too long ago that racetracks were plentiful in the Show-Me State. The good news for race fans in Missouri is more events are happening this year.
It was just a few years ago when I landed the job of track announcer at L.A. Raceway. You may remember the track and their great battles on Saturday nights. It was located west of Sedalia on Highway Y. Unfortunately, the track closed and left a void for race fans in west-central Missouri
Now most race fans head down 65 and west on 52 highway to Lucas Oil Speedway for their events throughout the season. ....

DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Modifieds Race 30 Dates over Eight Weeks

For
the first time in its 36-year history,
Hell
Tour fans can enjoy watching both tours race over eight different
weeks at various tracks, featuring a fresh mix of annual favorites, returning
gems and one new addition.
Both
tours are scheduled to race 30 dates over an eight-week stretch, starting with
the kickoff at Indiana’s Brownstown Speedway on Tuesday, June 15.
Similar
to the revamped 2020 schedule, a two-week break period will divide the tours
into two parts to allow for the Late Model drivers to compete with the World of
Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Models in their crown-jewel events – Fairbury
