Joining the movement on World Environment Day, Nestlé Pakistan has announced a breakthrough in the company’s sustainable packaging transformation journey, with the launch of paper straws across its entire 180-250ml ready-to-drink packs; this makes Nestlé Pakistan the first food and beverage company to do so.
With the new initiative, Nestlé Pakistan is eliminating over 400 million plastic straws from its system. Last year, the company globally pledged to make all its packaging 100% recyclable and reusable by 2025.
Nestlé brands NESVITA, MILO®, FRUITAVITALS, NESFRUTA and NESCAFÉ’s RTD products are now in the market with paper straws.
Paper straws across Nestlé ready-to-drink (RTD) products have been sourced responsibly and meet stringent quality requirements. All paper straws used are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper, and are only sourced from suppliers that have passed audits to ensure that the ....

Namport allocates N$2,8 million to social investment fund for 2020/21


The Namibian Ports Authority allocated a notable 2.8 million Namibian Dollars to its social investment fund for projects aimed at bettering the lives of the Namibian nation during its 2020/21 financial year.
The Namport Social Investment Fund (NSIF) is an investment arm of Namport through which the Ports Authority reaches the Namibian community by investing in worthwhile community projects such as the building of educational infrastructure, health infrastructure, medical equipment and other social needs that fall within the sponsorship mandate of NSIF. The latest benefactor of the social fund was the Five Rand Primary School in the Otjozondjupa region. The fund yesterday donated two classrooms with a price tag of N$ 300,000.00 to the school. ....
