East Nashville developer pays $7.2M for Antioch apartments

2337 Una Antioch Pike, Pebble Creek Apartments offers multiple two-story buildings with a collective 88 units. The seller was a partnership that bought the then-unimproved property for $230,889 in 1985, according to Metro records. Pebble Creek Apartments opened in 1996.
The transaction is the equivalent of $81,818 per unit.
Sanders used Brentwood-based The Kirkland Company (William Kirkland) to broker the deal. He told the Post his company will spend upwards of $1.2 million ($13,000 per unit) to upgrade Pebble Creek. Cumberland Capital Partners and Triumph Bank provided financing.
Based in East Nashville and the owner of S&S Property Management, Sanders is known for his work at Martin Corner near Five Points. He also owns a Five Points-area building once home to a YMCA of Middle Tennessee. Crews respond to fire at Pebble Creek Apartments in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson firefighters responded to a fire at an apartment complex Thursday evening. Multiple families at Pebble Creek Apartments are without homes due to the fire which started around 5:00 p.m.
An off-duty firefighter who lived next door attempted to put it out, but the fire spread too quickly. Many renters in the “W” unite were at work when they received calls about the fire.
“I have an upcoming wedding in July, so I had my dress in there,” Shameca Williams said. “My daughter graduated from high school two years ago, so she had her stuff in there, and she just came home from college with her dorm stuff in there. I mean that stuff can be replaced. I’m just glad my kids’ stuff is okay.” ....

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Drones have become just as common as hoses and axes for many of our local fire departments and now Roanoke County is piloting a program that would take its drones to the next level.
Roanoke County Fire and Rescue’s drone program has grown more valuable by the day since launching in 2018. Most recently it flew over the top of the major fire at Pebble Creek Apartments to document damage and using thermal imaging, identify hot spots and places the fire had spread to. ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - The Roanoke County Fire Marshalâs Office has concluded the fire Friday on Circle Brook Drive in Pebble Creek Apartments originated on a balcony on the second floor of the structure and was accidental.
The cause of the fire was discarded smoking materials and damage estimates are $1,250,000.00.
There were working smoke alarms in the apartments; however, due to the fire spreading from the balcony on the exterior into the attic space, the alarms did not sound immediately. ....
