One in three people in the United Kingdom have been exposed to anti-vaccine messages, a new survey has found, as the country rolls out a mass vaccination effort to bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey by Ipsos MORI and King s College London Policy Institute showed that 34% of respondents in the UK said they had seen or heard messages that attempted to discourage the public from getting a COVID-19 vaccine. Between the ages of 16 and 34, the percentage who had seen these types of messages rose to nearly half with 46% of respondents saying they had seen them. Experts are concerned that vaccine hesitancy and misinformation could impact efforts to end the COVID-19 pandemic. The UK was the first country to authorise the new Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and recently began rolling out its immunisation programme. ....
