“We thought that we bowled and fielded really well, but the batting innings was poor from us.
“We actually had a really good discussion straight after the game in the changing rooms – we spent a bit of time digesting it and working through it and using it as a learning opportunity.
“It was really important that rather than tearing our hair out and throwing things around the changing room, we actually learnt from it.
“Fingers crossed we don t get in that situation again – that we finish the job off a little earlier – but I m looking forward to it.

Wellington Blaze all-rounder Sophie Devine pipped Canterbury Magicians all-rounder Frankie Mackay to the MVP award on the back of a strong bowling display.
Wellington Blaze all-rounder Sophie Devine did just enough to claim the
Stuff MVP award in the final round of the Twenty20 Super Smash, but it wasn t enough to help her side advance straight to Saturday s grand final.
Devine took 4-21 with the ball as the Blaze dismissed the Auckland Hearts for 110 – enough to earn her a single MVP point – but only made six with the bat as they lost by seven runs, a result that set up a rematch in the elimination final on Thursday. ....
