There are more options for television streaming than ever before, but everyone has a favorite. However, it may be hard to choose just one when you have a whole selection of streaming options with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, Vimeo, Paramount, YouTube, Apple TV, and countless others.
TRG Datacenters analyzed TV watch data, and Google treads to find which streaming service is big in each state, including Montana. Interestingly enough, Netflix wasn t the most popular across the United States. Only three states came in with Netflix leading the way, and they were Colorado, Mississippi, and Massachusetts.
With over 160 million users and 300 hours of videos uploaded every minute, YouTube came in as the most popular service across the country. Though, Youtube was not the most popular in Montana. ....

In what may be good news for a market that has been undergoing a considerable downward spiral over the last few years, a Digital TV Research study is predicting that pay-TV subscriber losses in the US and Canada are set to slow with declines to be lower from 2021, falling by 16 million in total between 2020 and 2026.
The North America Pay TV Forecasts report found that the number of pay-TV subscribers in the US and Canada plummeted by 27 million between 2010 and 2020, down by 6 million in both 2019 and 2020. Pay-TV penetration is set to drop from 90.5% in 2010 to 53.6% by 2026. These falls will see the number of pay-TV subscribers in Canada and the US falling by 43 million from 116 million in the peak year of 2010 to 74 million in 2026. The US is set to lose 41 million, with Canada down by nearly 2 million. ....

OLD LYME The chairwoman of the Ethics Commission is requesting funding to hire independent legal counsel to rewrite the town’s ethics code.
Jane Cable asked the Board of Selectmen last week to increase the commission’s budget from $1,900 to $7,500 to cover legal costs.
“The Ethics Commission, when I joined, was totally dysfunctional, because the code doesn’t give directions for a well-functioning Ethics Commission,” said Cable, who became chairwoman in December. “It needs more than minor revisions.” ....

Penang Bridge reopens to traffic heading to mainland after fire causes closure

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Bridge has been reopened to vehicles heading to the mainland after a fire brought traffic to a standstill.
Since 6pm Monday (Feb 22), there was massive traffic congestion on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway heading to the Penang Bridge.
The bridge was reopened at around 9.30pm Monday for traffic heading to the mainland.
All road users who need to get to the mainland were directed towards the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge instead.
According to a Penang Fire and Rescue Department officer, only one lane is currently open for users on the Penang Bridge. ....
