Another victim of the COVID-19 pandemic was the annual Shop with a Cop program hosted by the Cambridge Police Department.
The popular program was canceled this year in order to protect the well being of children and officers, but that doesn t mean officers are not helping area children in need.
Instead, proceeds generated by the Shop with a Cop program were donated to the Guernsey County Secret Santa program which serves thousands of children each year.
It s unfortunate the police department was not able to host Shop with a Cop, but we really appreciate the donation, said John Davis, a 36-year veteran of the Secret Santa program. ....
