The Delhi government has told the Supreme Court that Haryana has not taken any concrete step to address its grievance over discharge of untreated pollutants causing rise in ammonia level in the Yamuna and release of insufficient water which led to reduction in supply in some areas here.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has filed its rejoinder affidavit in the apex court in response to the reply of Haryana and its Department of Irrigation and Water Resources.
A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde, on March 26, had directed the Haryana government and others to continue with the status quo on supply of Yamuna water to Delhi, making it clear that it should not be reduced to the national capital which is facing a shortage. ....

New Delhi, April 7 : The Haryana government has unleashed a barrage of allegations against Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in an affidavit in Supreme Court. The affidavit was filed in response to a petition filed by the Delhi Jal Board against the Haryana government seeking to stop discharge of untreated pollutants, high ammonia, into the Yamuna river. The DJB also sought sufficient water supply for the capital, amid the ongoing summer season when water demand peaks, from the Haryana government. ....

Delhi trying to conceal its water mismanagement, Haryana tells SC


New Delhi, April 7
The Haryana government has told the Supreme Court that the Delhi Government was trying to conceal its utter failure in management of water by accusing it of being responsible for increased Ammonia levels in the drinking water supplied to the national capital.
In an affidavit filed in response to the Delhi Jal Board’s plea, the Haryana Government said it’s Delhi which was responsible for increased Ammonia levels in the drinking water supplied to its residents as the Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant had not been upgraded to treat water.
Haryana contended that the Central Pollution Control Board had examined the water of river Yamuna on January 13, 2021 and it was found that Ammonia levels rose sharply from Delhi contact point at Palla to Wazirabad. ....
