DANBURY The city’s next mayor has experience on City Council and the fire department.
Joe Cavo, a Republican who has served on City Council since 2003, will be sworn in as mayor later this week as Mayor Mark Boughton transitions to his new role as Connecticut’s tax commissioner.
“During the past several years, I have worked closely with the office of the mayor and our city departments,” Cavo said in a statement. “I have been at the decision-making table for numerous initiatives, and feel prepared to take on this role, representing all members of our community.” ....
