Notre Dame (13-3, 12-3 ACC) got off to a strong start in the first set jumping on top 14-7, but a subsequent four-point run capped with a kill by junior outside hitter
Mikaila Dowd brought Georgia Tech (12-4, 12-4 ACC) within three. The two sides battled back and forth before the Jackets took three straight points to trail by just one, 19-18. The Fighting Irish gained momentum beyond that, finishing out the set for the 25-21 win. ....

🏐 Jayhawks Record Third-Straight Sweep with Victory over Arkansas State


LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas volleyball concluded its 2020-21 regular season with its third-straight sweep, and seventh-consecutive win after defeating Arkansas State (25-21, 25-14, 25-14) Saturday afternoon at Horejsi Family Volleyball Arena.
Jenny Mosser shined in the season finale, leading the Jayhawks with 12 kills. Following Mosser were Anezka Szabo and Caroline Crawford, both with eight kills. Crawford also recorded six blocks – the most of any Jayhawk on the day.
In the first, and most competitive set, the Jayhawks (12-10, 7-9 Big 12) jumped out to a five-point lead early. Arkansas St. took its first timeout, regrouped and battled back. After the teams traded points, the Red Wolves went on a run to make the score 10-8. ....

Corpus Christi, Texas (KTRE) - The SFA volleyball team is in Corpus Christi and looking to win their third straight Southland Conference volleyball tournament to claim a spot in the NCAA national tournament.
The ladies will play the host Islanders after Texas A&M Corpus Christi beat Houston Baptist in the conference quarterfinals. SFA went 25-3 on the years and 11-1 in conference play. The team is looking to win their seventh tournament title.
“Here we are tournament time. We are trying to get the younger ones to understand it is not two more conference matches,” Coach Debbie Humphreys said. “It is different. The slate is wiped clean. It is a brand new opportunity and it will take everyone’s A game to get it done. ....

#22 Irish Sweep #23 Georgia Tech, Remain in Mix for ACC Crown


ATLANTA #22 Notre Dame dominated from start-to-finish in a road sweep (25-21, 25-18, 25-20) of #23 Georgia Tech on Thursday night inside O’Keefe Gymnasium.
With the win, the Irish improve to 13-3 overall and 13-3 in ACC play heading into the final day of the ACC regular season. Notre Dame can earn its first ACC Championship, and 18th regular season conference title in program history, with a win over Duke on Friday and a Louisville loss to North Carolina.
Charley Niego led all players with 17 goals and three service aces while adding five digs and three blocks. Caroline Meuth notched eight kills and hit .500 while Aubrey Hamilton also added eight kills. Zoe Nunez collected 38 assists in the three sets. ....

Seminoles Earn the Sweep Against Syracuse


Redshirt sophomore Morgan Chacon had a fantastic match with a team-high 13 kills against Syracuse. She also put together 25 total attacks, four digs, and two services aces in her performance this evening.
Redshirt senior Olivia Dailey led the team in assists with 22, while also putting together seven digs. She also tied Chacon for the most service aces in the match with two total.
Senior Jasmyn Martin performed well with 11 kills and a .429 hitting percentage. She finished the match with 21 total attacks and four digs as well.
Sophomore Jessica Nunge recorded a team-high nine digs and senior Caroline Golden was close behind with eight. Nunge also had five kills and Golden had four assists in their win against the Orange. ....
