‘America’s greatest zoo’ turned boutique hotel in Upstate NY has new owners

The legacy of the Catskill Game Farm in the Hudson Valley will get to live on in its boutique hotel and glamping sites, which has changed hands to new owners, selling for just under two million dollars.
Known as the first privately owned zoo in the United States, the Catskill Game Farm opened in 1933 and ran for 73 years before finally closing in 2006. At its peak, the zoo had 2,000 animals and hosted about 500,000 visitors a year. According to the property’s website, it was once considered “America’s greatest zoo.” ....
