(Credit: Reporter file photo) James Lynch, an attorney leading the opposition to an employee housing complex at Gardiner’s Bay Country Club (GBCC) has requested a delay in a Zoning Board of Appeals hearing scheduled for May 26 Mr. Lynch is representing the Hay Beach Property Owners Association and his own family. Although the ZBA meeting will be held, it’s unlikely to take testimony because of the written request for a delay from Mr. Lynch dated April 29, according to ZBA Clerk Kristina Martin Majdisova. ....
Falmouth-based marine engineering company, Feritech Global, has gained support in its plans to build a world-first subsea vehicle. Marine-i has agreed to support the marine engineering specialist in its attempt the build the vehicle that would be create the world’s first autonomous subsea vehicle specially designed for geotechnical survey work. It is hoped that such a design would result in safer, more efficient and cost-effective seabed survey operations. Part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, Marine-i was set up to help the marine tech sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly grow through harnessing the full potential of research and innovation. ....
Konica Minolta has made several appointments to its senior leadership team; Mark Ash joins as chief revenue officer for the UK Group, Sarah Stone will be new chief people officer, and Andy Clegg is the new chief finance and operations officer. From 1st April 2021, Mark Ash will assume the role of chief revenue officer for the UK Group, covering all aspects of sales, marketing and service. He will build on the advances made since joining the company in 2020, overseeing the company’s transformation beyond print.
