CINCINNATI, Ohio — Coney Island Park announced Thursday it will be kicking off the summer season Monday, June 7 after having to delay its opening. 
"Coney Island is excited to welcome guests for a 2021 season filled with new attractions and family favorites. We thank everyone for their patience as we worked to ensure a safe and top-notch experience in the Sunlite Water Adventure Area," said Rob Schutter, president of Coney Island Park. 
The new attractions are the Challenge Zone, which features more than 150 feet of obstacles, monkey bars, balance beans, the largest pool obstacle course in the nation and Action Alley, which will have a large infatable jump pad, arts and crafts, and a giant basketball Connect 4 game.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Coney Island’s 2021 season will open Monday, June 7 after its scheduled May 29 opening was delayed to repair a water main leak in the Sunlite Pool area.
Officials announced Thursday that the leak has been repaired, and the park is ready to host visitors next week.
“Coney Island is excited to welcome guests for a 2021 season filled with new attractions and family favorites. We thank everyone for their patience as we worked to ensure a safe and top-notch experience in the Sunlite Water Adventure Area,” said Coney Island president Rob Schutter in a release.

ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Coney Island's 2021 season opening has been delayed by approximately 10 days due a leaking water main in the pool area, the water park announced Thursday.
The park was originally scheduled to open its season Saturday.
Officials said the leak emerged on Tuesday, and "a team has been working to identify and rectify the issue" since then. Sunlite Pool had to be "significantly drained" for repairs and to refill the pool.
“We are very disappointed that we will not able to open this week as originally expected, but we’re excited to welcome our guests back for an outstanding 2021 season as soon as possible,” Coney Island president Rob Schutter said in a news release.

Coney Island officials say a water main break in the Sunlite Pool area will delay the park's scheduled Saturday, May 29, opening by about 10 days.
"The leak emerged on Tuesday and since then, a team has been working to identify and rectify the issue. Unfortunately, to address the issue, Sunlite Pool had to be significantly drained and it will require time to complete the work and refill the pool," officials said in a news release.
All tickets purchased for the dates that Coney Island is temporarily closed will be honored on any public operating day through the 2021 season, they said.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Coney island will have some new attractions when it opens for its 2021 season Memorial Day weekend.
According to a press release from the park, new attractions will include the Challenge Zone, the largest Aquaglide pool obstacle course in the nation, and a fun-filled section called Action Alley.
The Challenge Zone is a large floating obstacle course with more than 150 feet of climbing obstacles, monkey bars, balance beams, and more.

Coney Island is opening for the season on Memorial Day weekend.The park will open May 29, with new attractions, including Coney Island’s Challenge Zone, the largest Aquaglide pool obstacle course in the nation. The massive floating obstacle course will be added to the Sunlite Pool when the park opens for the 2021 season.
