March 10 blood drive, fundraiser is for Scott Valley s Miles Isbell

A Vitalant blood drive in honor of 9-year-old Miles Isbell – who is battling a cancerous Medullablastoma tumor on his brain – is set to take place at the Fort Jones Community Center next Wednesday, March 10.
Organized by two longtime Scott Valley community members, Mary Adams and Maria Gamache, all appointment slots have been filled from noon to 4 p.m., although walk-ins are welcome if they don t mind a wait.
“You can do so much for someone by donating blood, said Gamache. Everyone in this community has such a love for Miles and wants to help. ....
