LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A tentative settlement has been reached in a lawsuit against the Comanche County Detention Center.
We previously reported that Jeffrey Taylor filed suit against the Comanche County Detention Center as well as jail administrator William Hobbs, the board of county commissioners and Sheriff Kenny Stradley for an attack that happened in June 2017 while Taylor was an inmate.
Sheriff Stradley was later dropped from the lawsuit.
Taylor claimed three correctional officers didn’t do anything to protect him or stop the assault when he was stabbed by another inmate. ....

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A man is suing the Comanche County Detention Center over an attack he allegedly suffered while he was jailed there.
Jeffrey Taylor is filing a lawsuit against CCDC and Jail Administrator William Hobbs, the Board of County Commissioners and Sheriff Kenny Stradley for an attack that reportedly happened in June 2017.
In the lawsuit, Taylor claims that three correctional officers were there when he was stabbed and separated themselves from the attack, failing to protect him or stop the assault in any way. ....

LAWTON, Okla. (TNN) - A second man has been charged in a robbery that happened in January.
According to the affidavit, on April 15 a detective contacted Daren Yandell, who was already at Comanche County Detention Center about the robbery.
Yandell was then transported from CCDC to the Lawton Police Station to be interviewed in connection to the crime.
The affidavit says Yandell admitted to police that he was present the night of the incident. ....
