The Madison County Health Department is distributing the vaccine by appointment only to healthcare workers as part of Phase 1A of the state’s vaccine distribution plan.
COLLINSVILLE By the end of Thursday, an estimated 500 healthcare workers were expected to have received their first shot of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine at Collinsville’s Gateway Convention Center.
The center will be used as a vaccine distribution center on Thursdays for at least the next few weeks, according to Madison County Health Department Director Toni Corona. At about noon, she said things were “pretty smooth” on Thursday. ....
