Jackson Hole has a brand new band.
Station 54 — Justin Smith, Shane Wolf, John Gallagher and Steve Place — make their debut June 9 at Melvin Brewing, with dates at the Wort Hotel’s Silver Dollar Showroom and the Knotty Pine in Victor, Idaho, in the weeks to come.
A chill blend of funk, rock and folk, Station 54 plays stripped-down, contemporary covers of tunes by such disparate songwriters and bands as The Talking Heads and Jack Johnson, Leon Bridges and Gordon Lightfoot, Steve Miller and The Band, to name but a few.
Singer-guitarist Smith is a well-established force in the Teton music scene, currently ripping up the Silver Dollar every Tuesday with bluegrass unit One Ton Pig and working by day as the talent buyer for the Wort and the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. Wolf is a Berklee School of Music-trained multi-instrumentalist who in Station 54 plays guitar and sings, seemingly able to turn on his harmonizing skills at will. Grand Teton hosts annual American Indian guest artist program at Colter Bay

MOOSE, Wyo. (KIFI) Grand Teton National Park will host American Indian artists at the Colter Bay Visitor Center this summer to share their traditional and contemporary art with park visitors.
This annual summer program will begin on Tuesday, May 25.
Participating artists will demonstrate and share the cultural traditions of their tribes through art forms such as painting, weaving, pottery, beadwork and musical instruments.
The program is scheduled through September 27 and available during open hours of the Colter Bay Visitor Center, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Artists also offer their finished items for purchase. ....

Grand Teton National Park has opened up its seasonally-operated facilities for the summer over the next couple of weeks.
The park is working to protect employee and visitor health while meeting the National Park Service mission of providing for visitors and protecting park resources. Most visitor facilities and services will be open with modifications to limit the number of people and provide for social distancing.
The Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center will open for the season on Saturday and will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Teton Park Road and Moose-Wilson Road will also open to vehicles on Saturday. ....

MOOSE, Wyo. (KIFI) Seasonally operated facilities begin opening for summer operations in Grand Teton National Park and the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway.
You are encouraged to plan ahead and recreate responsibly.
The Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center will open for the season on Saturday, May 1. It will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Teton Park Road and Moose-Wilson Road open to motor vehicles on May 1.
