COLTS NECK, NJ - A suspicious document found to be in the possession of a Colts Neck elementary school student has prompted an investigation led by district administration, as well as consultation from local law enforcement.
In a letter to parents dated May 5, Colts Neck Township Schools Superintendent Dr. MaryJane Garibay noted that the district became aware of the document on May 4, leading administrators to immediately report the situation to the Colts Neck Police Department.
Parents/guardians of all individuals involved with the situation have been contacted by administration, the letter reads. Although the situation remains an active investigation; currently, and after consultation with local law enforcement, the district believes that there is no impending danger to our students and staff.
