A restaurant in Quincy is offering some seriously unique St. Patrick s Day drinks to celebrate the holiday. St. Patrick s Day may look a little different this year compared to years past, no mega bar crawls, or parades. But that doesn t mean you shouldn t try something new, fun, and still celebrate the holiday. Here in Quincy a restaurant is going to give you that opportunity have a unique, festive, drink (or 3) for St. Patrick s Day Applebee s has announced two different St. Patrick s Day drinks to their bar for the holiday! If you go to the Facebook page for the Quincy Applebee s they posted about these crazy, fun looking themes drinks. They call it their $5 Saintly Sips (awesome name by the way) and the two drinks are the NEW Tipsy Leprechaun, which is green and made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, and the second is the NEW Pot O Gold Colada, which is made with Captain Morgan Rum. The check was recently present to the St. Peter s School from the Hy-Vee on Broadway. It was part pf the Hy-Vee’ Fuel Your School sweepstakes. St. Peter School was one of 55 schools across Hy-Vee’s eight-state region to receive grants as part of the company’s pledge to support local education. Get our free mobile app Fuel Your School, held in January, allowed customers to support schools simply by purchasing certain specific brands of products. Selected winners earned individual prizes in addition to choosing a school to win a cash donation. In all, 55 schools receive a total of $75,000 and 55 customers receive up to $12,500 in prizes. ....
Gadsden County deputies search for Quincy burglary suspect Gadsden County Sheriff s Office and last updated 2021-03-03 17:24:50-05 GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) â The Gadsden County Sheriff s Office is asking the public to help identify a suspect wanted in a Quincy burglary. Deputies said on Feb. 26 Andrew J. Reddick who is pictured on the left in the pictures, and the masked suspect broke into an unoccupied home on Canopy Lane in Quincy. The sheriff s office said the suspects were armed with a rifle. The unidentified suspect is wanted for armed burglary and grand theft of a firearm. Quincy Once Had A $1 Movie Theatre Going to a movie with a family a four can get pretty expensive. So growing up in a family of six, we didn t go to the movies that often.until we discovered The Adams Theater in Quincy. For just $1 a ticket, you could go and have an afternoon of family fun. The Adams Theater was located at 602 Hampshire (now known as ONE: Special Event Venue). According to cinematreasures.org, the theater first opened in 1915, complete with box seating (which still remains there as of today). The theater closed in the 1940s, re-opened with new owners in 1949, and was bought by Kerasotes Theaters in 1969. It was later renamed Adams Cinema and held 300 seats when it was split in two in the 70s. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and the theatre closed for good in 1999. The building was donated to a church in 2002 and years later turned into ONE Restaurant and Bar and later ONE Special Event Venue. ....
