The single most pressing issue facing our board is the need to enhance communication and transparency in process. While the board certainly makes efforts in this regard, we can always strive to do better. Every resident should feel that their voice matters because it does - all voices matter. Providing advanced digestible summaries of upcoming agenda items is one way to enhance communication. Increased engagement with the community and an open dialogue will go a long way toward furthering public trust in our elected officials. ....

John Nygren Announced as Association Executive Director

John Nygren accepted the position of Executive Director for the organization. He will officially join the Association later this month.
“On behalf of the Association’s Board of Directors, I am excited to make this announcement,” said
Peter Farrow, Association Board President and CEO of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire. “John’s demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in the insurance industry make him an obvious choice to lead the Association into the future.”
Farrow said that the organization conducted an extensive search and interviewed a diverse range of candidates. In the end, Nygren’s range of experience in insurance and government, coupled with his proven ability to lead through complex issues, made the decision clear for the Association Board. ....
