BANGOR, Maine About a year ago, most nursing homes and long-term care facilities in Maine closed their doors to the public to keep the most vulnerable population safe from COVID-19.
Those restrictions led to declining mental health for many seniors.

Gerald “Gerry” Jackson has been named regional vice president of operations for the Bluegrass Region at Morning Pointe Senior Living. Mr. Jackson will directly oversee operations for 12 senior living and Memory Care communities in Kentucky and Indiana.
Founded in 1996 by healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow, Morning Pointe Senior Living is the developer, owner, and manager of 35 senior living and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence communities in five southeastern states.
