Despite pressure from various quarters, the
Karnataka Government wants the II PU examinations to be held offline. During a high-level meeting chaired by
Defence Minister Rajanath Singh on Sunday, Primary and Secondary Education Minister
S Suresh Kumar made it clear that the exams were necessary and that they will be conducted once the covid cases are brought under control.
“We have decided to conduct II PU exams once the cases are under control. We want to give a time frame of 15-20 days before announcing the final time table. We also plan to conduct separate exams for students who miss out due to covid. There is also a proposal to simplify the exam procedure, but it would require at least 45 days for the process to be over,” the minister said, adding that the ....

Many schools have suggested that the primary and secondary
education department should postpone the
SSLC exams, on account of the second wave wreaking havoc across the state. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams have been scheduled to be held from June 14 to June 25.

Education Department has clarified that it will be going ahead with the offline format of Secondary School Leaving Certificate (
SSLC) and II-Year PU exams and there was no proposal to cancel them. The statement came after the
Central Board of Secondary Education (
CBSE) cancelled Class 10 exams and postponed Class 12 exams.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar clarified, “The state has not decided anything in respect of cancellation of
SSLC Exams on the lines of the decision of CBSE. A decision will be made in the future considering all factors.” The II-year PU exams are scheduled to be held from May 24 to June 16 and SSLC exams from June 21 to July 5. ....
