Agra, April 20 (IANS) Alhough Agra could not celebrate World Heritage Day on April 18 due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, conservationists and green activists have once again highlighted the failure of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to free the string of monuments in the city of encroachments that were seen as a major threat to the health and safety of these precious properties.

SERDANG: Electricity theft worth RM130,000 is believed to be the result of illegal bitcoin mining in six premises here.
Police seized 297 bitcoin mining machines after raiding the premises in Taman Damai Utama and Pusat Perdagangan Bandar Putra Permai between April 8 and 17.
Serdang deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Rosdi Daud said a police team along with Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) personnel raided three premises at Atmosphere 5, Pusat Perdagangan Bandar Putra Permai, at around 3pm on April 8.
“We arrested two Chinese nationals, a man and a woman, aged 32 and 38. ....

Russia has told migrants from post-Soviet states living there illegally to leave the country by June 15, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported Friday.
This announcement came at a meeting of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth by the deputy head of the department, Alexander Gorovoy.

AUTHORITIES said they had seized some 200 tonnes of illegally harvested giant clam shells worth nearly US$25mil (RM103mil) in one of the biggest known operations of its kind in the country.
