2 Boaz woman in their 80s, killed in separate car accidents

ETOWAH COUNTY – Two Boaz women have been killed in separate car accidents earlier this week.  The first crash took place on Sunday, May 23 on U.S. 431 near Happy Hill Road, approximately four miles south of Boaz.  Police say Ann Davis Hulgan, 84, was fatally injured when the 2005 Dodge Caravan she was driving failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 1994 Dodge Ram. Hulgan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ram was not injured. The second crash also involved two vehicles and took place on Monday, May 24  on U.S. 278 near Thompson Bridge Road, approximately two miles east of Attalla.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ram was not injured. The crash took place on U.S. 431 near Happy Hill Road, about four miles south of Boaz.
