Express News Service Alludu Adhurs has a unique problem. It thinks its male lead’s character is one of the most interesting ones ever written. At one point, the self-referential Seenu, played by Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, says this with unreal confidence: ‘Content antha naa character lo ne undhi’. Prakash Raj’s Jaipal Reddy believes that he hallucinates things and makes up stuff. Actually, it is the male lead who is genuinely deluded in this alleged masala comedy. Seenu falls in love with Kaumudhi (Nabha Natesh), the daughter of Jaipal, a supposed Nizamabad-based enfant terrible. When her father threatens him with dire consequences, the hero tricks the Police Commissioner (played by late Jayaprakash Reddy) by making him agree to an inexplicable agreement. ....
Alludu Adhurs Movie Review: A bungling comedy that is immensely avoidable Alludu Adhurs Movie Review: If you are pining for a comedy this season, you better watch some old-fashioned fun entertainers on the Internet. Written By Alludu Adhurs Movie Review: A bungling comedy that is immensely avoidable. Movie Name: Alludu Adhurs Director: Santosh Srinivas Rating: 1.5 Telugu filmmakers have this itch for establishing the quirks of lead characters by setting up the story right from their childhood. In Alludu Adhurs , which is the loudest Sankranti release, Seenu is shown as a child who starts hating women after his first love walks out of his life without batting an eyelid. Soon after, the hero enters the screen amid a heavy background score and picks up a quarrel with totally unknown characters because his friend is being chased by goons. This is your typical masala comedy trope. ....
Director Santosh Srinivas’s romance drama invokes a sense of deja vu Despite an unsuccessful formula, some directors tread the same path. Director Santosh Srinivas does exactly that with Alludu Adurs. While in Class IX, Sai Sreenivas (Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas) falls in love with his classmate Vasundhara (Anu Emmanuel) but she doesn’t reciprocate as she feels, “Love is magic for you but it is tragic for me. I like you but I don’t love you.” Thereafter, he develops an aversion towards women and vows never to fall in love. In some moments we see him stalk Vasundhara’s younger sister Kaumudi (Nabha Natesh). The girl’s father Jaipal Reddy (Prakash Raj) refuses the alliance and tells Sai Sreenivas that the latter is being stalked by death and Gaja (Sonu Sood) is death personified. Why is Gaja, just out of prison, baying for Sai’s blood and why is Sai extending him an olive branch without putting up a fight? The rest of the story also deals with the Jaipal R ....
