Male, May 3 (IANS) The Maldives Health Protection Agency (HPA) has banned non-essential travel between islands and atolls in a bid to curb a new surge in Covid-19 infections, local media reported on Monday.

Whanganui District Council s policy and bylaw committee has unanimously voted to adopt its draft climate change strategy.
Committee chairman, mayor Hamish McDouall, said amendments were made to the draft policy after hearing public submissions last

Maharashtra records high number of 832 fatalities
As Pune district finds its feet amidst the second wave of COVID-19 the daily patients discharged for Sunday crossed the 10k mark and was pegged at 10,607 patients. This brings the progressive count of discharged patients in the district to 6,79,335 as of Sunday.
From the daily discharges, 4,759 are from
PMC limits, 2,027 from
PCMC, 2,795 from Pune Rural, 783 PMC, 2265 from PCMC, 2708 from Pune Rural, 451 from
Councils and 138 from the Cantonment area. This brings the cumulative COVID-19 positive cases in the district to 7,93,186 till date. Out of the current active cases 28,704 are in institutional care while 73,010 are in home isolation. ....
