Chairman of AWIs Board Nomination Committee

AWI’s Board Nomination Committee is responsible for:
identifying necessary and desirable director competencies;
considering candidates standing for election or re-election at any general meeting of the Company;
and making non-binding recommendations to shareholders in relation to the election or re-election of such candidates.
The Board Nomination Committee is to consist of five persons:
A Chair independent of the wool industry and independent from AWI, initially appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Agriculture;
Two independent non-executive Directors of the Company (other than the Chair of the Company);
One representative of the wool industry independent from the Company, nominated by the Wool Industry Consultative Panel plus one representative from an international executive search firm, nominated by the CEO of the Company (subject to approval by the independent Chair of the Board Nomination Committee).

A $400 billion European pension fund has questioned Treasurer Josh Frydenberg’s move to force proxy advisers to split from superannuation funds, raising concerns the proposals could squeeze the amount of time investors have to consider how to vote their shares.
The Treasurer’s proxy firm proposals have been endorsed by business leaders but questioned by major investor groups.
Vanguard, which oversees more than $9 trillion of savings as one of the world’s biggest asset managers, said its voting behaviour at annual general meetings was already independent of any recommendations made by proxy advisers and was a result of a “rigorous internal process”.

The notice Mango Airlines issued early on Wednesday was cold comfort for those who’d arrived at airports to find the orange counters closed, particularly as it made no mention of the one word ticket holders want to hear: refund.
“Dear Guests: Mango Airlines would like to apologise for this morning’s flight interruptions and delays. We are currently working on a solution and will be back at the counters and hope to clear the delays as soon as possible. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience caused,” the notice read...

Madam Speaker,
In January last year I was honoured to receive the support of my colleagues to become the State’s 46th Premier and shortly after that, around 12 months to the day, coronavirus found its way to the Australian mainland and unfortunately to our shores as well.
We were faced with the probability of a significant health crisis if action wasn’t taken swiftly to protect our community, that action meant limiting people’s movements and closing businesses where people congregated, and sadly the impact on our economy was severe.
We banned cruise ships, closed our borders and we stayed home to save lives.

WAYZATA, Minn. (FOX 9) - A snowmobile crashed through a couple’s ice fishing house over the weekend on Lake Minnetonka. As authorities look for the culprit, the ice anglers have a word of warning for others out on the lakes.
Peter Kissinger enjoys ice fishing once or twice a week, but when his girlfriend Samantha Hoch joined him for only her second time last week, they had a close call that has them both still reeling.
