The Michigan State Police issued an Endangered Missing Advisory early Friday, with Monroe County in the requested announcement area. The advisory was canceled around 9:30 a.m.
The alert involved Samira Lynn Blackmon, 5 weeks old, who was last seen with her mother, Jakayla Shibrea Atchison Thursday evening in the Albion area. The police report said that Atchison had failed to comply with a court order to surrender Samira to Child Protective Services; and that the child is believed to be in danger.
The girl has been since found safe.
