Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau is moving into Phase 1A Tier 3 of COVID-19 vaccinations beginning next week. This group includes healthcare workers who: are in direct contact with patients or infectious materials, cannot provide their service remotely or through telework, and cannot postpone their services.
So far, it’s shaping up that Juneau can vaccinate more people than the CBJ originally planned for.
“We are getting more vaccination for the current phase of the distribution than we originally thought and it sounds like it’s going to be at least double,” said Emergency Operations Planning Chief Robert Barr, at the COVID-19 Community Update on Facebook Live on Tuesday. “We don’t know the exact number.” ....
