She also supported the execution of First Step s recent Behavioral Health Response Team, a successful pilot program that diverts people experiencing severe mental health crises from law enforcement, first responders and school employees.

SARASOTA COUNTY Crystal Bailey, a senior assistant general counsel at the Sarasota County Sheriff s Office, has been promoted to general counsel following Col. Kurt Hoffman s election as sheriff last fall.
The former Assistant State Attorney in the Sixth Judicial Circuit was Hoffman s understudy since 2014 and they share the same fundamental values.
