Best friends launch ‘Sugar Sisters,’ a handmade gift business, during pandemic

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Having met at dancing school when they were 4 years old, Madison Gattullo, 20, of New Springville and Rosebank resident Sophia Rizzo, 20, both graduated Wagner High School’s theater program and pursued college majors related to the arts.
And both have participated in numerous theater productions including with Spotlight Theater SI and miss performing live amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
With a lot of uncertainty about when the arts and theater communities will recover from coronavirus shutdowns, the pair put their creative talents to use. ....
