Freight Forwarding Association Welcomes Extra Apprenticeship Cash

UK – The news that extra government money for hiring new apprentices is now open for applications has been praised by the British International Freight Association (BIFA) which is encouraging its members to take advantage of the increased incentive payments that are now available.
The announcement on 1 June raised the bar on the payments meaning that from that date until 30 November the incentive payments equal £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021. The incentive payment is in addition to the £1,000 employers already receive for hiring an apprentice aged 16 to 18 years old or under 25 with an education, health and care plan, or who has been in the care of their local authority. BIFA welcomes new apprentice incentive
The British International Freight Association (BIFA), the trade association that represents UK freight forwarding and logistics companies, says that it welcomes the news that the government is increasing incentive payments to companies that hire a new apprentice.
Employers will now receive £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021.
Carl Hobbis, BIFA’s Executive Director, who has management responsibility for BIFA’s training and development services, says: “The latest increase in funding support is a further reason for our members to consider the apprenticeship pathway as a means of adding fresh talent to the industry.” ....

UK – The British International Freight Association (BIFA), the trade association that represents UK freight forwarding and logistics companies, says that it welcomes the news that the government is increasing incentive payments to companies that hire a new apprentice.
The expansion of the scheme means that employers will now receive £3,000 for new apprentices of any age who join their organisation from 1 April 2021 to 30 September 2021. Having been actively involved in the creation of an International Freight Forwarding Specialist apprenticeship, BIFA has committed to promote its availability since it was introduced in 2018.
