Sweet 'thank you' for York nurses

NURSES at a York care home got a special thank you for all their hard work to mark International Nurses Day.
Springfield Healthcare at The Chocolate Works Care Village treated their nursing team to doughnuts from local independent Doe Bakehouse. Every nurse will also receive a personal card thanking them for the effort they have put in over the last 12 months, arguably the hardest of their career.
International Nurses Day is a celebration of the work of nurses, organised by the International Council of Nurses. It ensures that the outstanding efforts of nurses are acknowledged globally. It is marked on the 12th of May, the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.

FOSTER John Anthony Retired Flt. Lt. - Passed away on February 7, aged 80, after a brief battle with cancer. John will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Philomena, his proud and adoring son and daughter, Paul and Joanne, their spouses, Joanne and Ian, and his six beloved grandchildren, Tom, Ellie, Matt, Sam, Olivia and Millie.
