Well known animal rescuer gets free roof from Texas contractors

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) -There’s a lot of money to be made in the Lake area by contractors who can rebuild what the hurricanes destroyed. But not everyone has money to pay.
Everybody loves good Samaritans especially when they help someone who seems especially worthy.
The constant tapping of hammers sounds like music to dana Frye.
“Sounds like heaven. We’re overjoyed, to put it mildly,” she said. The well-known animal rescuer is getting a free roof, thanks to two Dallas area contractors who heard about her needs. Dana has helped rescue abandoned dogs and cats for decades. Yet the 76-year-old has not had a safe, secure house since the hurricanes. She says insurance came up short. ....
