2 walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics open for the day in Kitchener on Friday

There will be two walk-in clinics held in Kitchener on Friday for people who still need to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. The First Dose Friday clinics will be held for one day only at Victoria Hills Community Centre and Chandler Mowat Community Centre.

After a month of fasting daily for the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims in Waterloo region and around the world will celebrate with EidÂ al-Fitr.
The three-day holiday marks the end of Ramadan and is usually celebrated with special prayers, communal gathering and aÂ feast.
ButÂ for the third time during the pandemic, Eid celebrations will fall during lockdowns and stay-at-home orders. Muslims also observe a second Eid called EidÂ al-Adha, which last took place in the summer of 2020.
