The Sharks Foundation started February s Education Month presented by SAP by extending a $40,000 Community Assist Grant to Techbridge Girls, an Oakland-based non-profit focused on inspiring girls to discover a passion for science, technology, engineering and math. Techbridge Girls mission is to excite, educate, and equip girls from low-income communities by delivering high-quality STEM programming that empowers a girl to achieve economic mobility and better life chances. SHARKS FOUNDATION, SAP TO PROVIDE $500,000 GRANT TO FUND AND LAUNCH CITYTEAM'S ALAMEDA COUNTY – El Observador

) to fund and launch the
Alameda County Mobile Food Pantry Expansion Project. The project, an extension of CityTeam’s current model that establishes food distribution locations in underserved neighborhoods throughout Santa Clara County, will strategically select 18 different sites across Alameda County to provide disadvantaged community members with fresh and accessible groceries on a bi-monthly basis. The multi-year partnership begins now and will continue through the 2022-23 NHL Hockey Season.
