M.o.H.W. Encourages Cante Family to Ask for Money as Compensation for Body Mix Up

The Cante Family in San Felipe Village is advised to request financial compensation after the family’s patriarch was mistakenly buried as a John Doe in another village without the family. Late Wednesday evening, the Ministry of Health and Wellness issued a statement clarifying the mishandling and erroneous release of Fernando Cante’s corpse at the Northern Regional Hospital on December thirty-first, 2020. The Ministry explains that on December twenty-fourth, the body of an unidentified elderly man labeled as ‘John Doe’ was brought to the Northern Regional Hospital by the Police Department. The attending doctor pronounced the person dead, and the usual protocol of swabbing for COVID-19 was conducted. Results of the COVID-19 test were negative, and the body to date awaits a post mortem. The body of Cante was brought later, but when police officers arrived at the morgue to retrieve “John Doe” for burial, Cante’s body ....
