SAN ANTONIO Heavy rains moved through San Antonio Tuesday causing flash floods in many areas including one northside neighborhood.
Darrol Hicks said the the rain moved in fast, and not even an hour later, water started rushing into his home off Dhaka View Lane near Leon Creek.
“The water was all through the house,” said Hicks. “I looked out the window and the car was actually floating in the air in the water.”
Hicks said he had at least two feet of water in his home. ....

President Biden’s goal of fully vaccinating 160 million adults by July 4 may not be achieved, but the administration is sending surrogates to continue the push. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was in San Antonio Tuesday to tour University Health’s vaccinated site at Wonderland of the Americas Mall.
The Biden administration wants 70% of U.S. adults vaccinated with at least one shot by July. It’s at 66% right now or about 171 million adults according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. By comparison, about 54% of all Americans are vaccinated. One person was left dead after being shot in a mobile home community in east San Antonio Tuesday night.
At 11:22 p.m., the San Antonio Fire Department and the San Antonio Police Department responded to Saints Haven and Saints Arc to a reported shooting.
Police said a homeowner heard a lot of commotion outside. When the homeowner stepped out to see what was going on, there was a man laying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head, police said. ....
