Parish offers opportunity to avail Confession in the pandemic

Lenten season, which started on Ash Wednesday Feb 17, is a grace-filled period when we are reminded, through the Word of God, to return to God as He loves us and is ever ready to forgive us.
In spite of the pandemic, Sacred Heart Cathedral parish offers to parishioners the opportunity to avail the grace of Confession as a concrete way of preparation to celebrate the paschal mystery of Easter with renewed hearts.
The individual confessions are made available to parishioners daily (
Monday to Friday),
from Mar 10-24, spaced out by three time slots: 8:30-9:30 am; 10:30-11:30 am and 3:30-4:30pm. ....

Van Orsdel United Methodist Church is hosting this year s Havre community lenten luncheons. Two of the five have already taken place: Feb. 25 and March 4. We have three more to go: March 11, 18 and 25. These take place Thursdays at noon. All are invited to attend. These luncheons feature soups and sandwiches provided by a different church each Thursday, along with a devotional thought from a person who regularly attends the church providing the food. Latest SOP for churches on time for Ash Wednesday Masses to mark the beginning of Lent

The latest SOP released by the government allowed the Church to re-open within restrictions of not more than one third or 45 attendees was indeed a welcome news.
It arrived on time for the Church to mark the beginning of Lent with the blessing and physical distribution of ashes to the faithful for Ash Wednesday Mass, albeit for a very limited number of faithful.
Over a thousand parishioners have earlier registered for the Ash Wednesday Mass, scheduled to take place on Friday, February 19, in expectation of the MCO to end on Feb 18.
Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish responded to the unexpected relaxed SOP for non-Muslim houses of worship by organizing four Masses for the distribution of ashes daily beginning from Ash Wednesday Feb 17 to Feb 19. Each Mass will accommodate the maximum of 45 parishioners allowed, besides temperature scan, hand sanitizing and contact tracing required by the SOP protocol. ....
