The UK’s first dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine has been given in Wales to a young woman who cares for her grandmother.
Elle Taylor, 24, who works at a further education college in Llanelli, received the Moderna jab from staff nurse Laura French at West Wales General Hospital’s outpatients department on Wednesday morning.
Speaking after receiving the vaccine, the 24-year-old said: “I’m very excited and very happy. I’m an unpaid carer for my grandmother so it is very important to me that I get it, so I can care for her properly and safely. ....
