Virtual Scavenger Hunt is set for Saturday | News, Sports, Jobs

The Jamestown Community Chamber of Commerce will host its Red Brick Road Virtual Scavenger Hunt, unveiling a series of videos at noon Saturday.
Wizard of Oz themed items will appear strategically placed in each of the videos as a visual clue. These items include: Flying Monkey, Oil Can, Scarecrow, Red Slippers, Picnic Basket and Toto, Magic Wand, Lion, Tin Oz sign, one Yellow Brick and one Red Brick. When a viewer sees the clue, they can fill out an online form to enter the hunt. Viewers can enter once for each video. The more entries, the greater the chances of winning. Prize packages include a variety of items donated by local attractions, as well as ShopLocalCHQ Gift Cards from the Chamber of Commerce at $50, $100, and $250. ....

Chautauqua Sunrise, hosted by Doc Hamels, will have Randy Anderson from the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame aired and streamed on Facebook live at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The show repeats at 2 and 8 p.m.
Fresh Perspectives, hosted by Gail Erb, will feature Trish Dragoo and Heather Gregory, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County EFNEP nutrition educators. The program is at 3 and 9 p.m.
Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.
All programming starts on Saturday with the final airing on Friday, Feb. 5.
Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301. ....

Taped to a wall in the bedroom of George Barone’s West Ellicott apartment next to plaques and other mementos commemorating a lifetime of coaching youth baseball is a handwritten note, dated a little more than two years ago.
“Thanks so much for your Christmas card. I had a great time playing for you and my awesome teammates. Enjoy 2019.”
The missive is signed by Dayton Moore.
Moore is now the general manager of the Kansas City Royals, but a piece of his heart apparently still remains on the diamonds in Lakewood where he was mentored by Barone decades ago. ....
